Colorá is a personal feature film project about Cumbia, identity, immigration, and creative burnout.
Soledad moved to Europe after winning a scholarship to study at a prestigious (and expensive) private music school. However, shortly after her arrival at the new school, she is told that the funds for the scholarship were cut and that if she wants to continue the next semester, she will have to pay it herself. There’s nothing she wants more in the world than to study at that school and stay in Europe. Neither she nor her family has the means to pay for her stay, so she asks for help from her musical ancestors. The “help” she gets it’s not what she expected.
